Senior Leadership Opportunity

Job Overview:

This is a senior leadership role that embodies the seamless integration of academia and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic plans
  • Lead and inspire diverse communities of academics, students, and professionals
  • Drive growth in student enrolments, research funding, and industry engagement
  • Foster high-performance, inclusive, and psychologically safe cultures
  • Cultivate national and international partnerships to expand reputation and impact
  • Ensure financial sustainability and operational effectiveness
  • Lead strategic and operational delivery of research agendas
  • Oversee governance, research contracts, ethics, compliance, and intellectual property
  • Foster clinical and translational research collaborations across research alliances
  • Identify emerging opportunities for innovation, capability building, and funding
  • Support and mentor researchers, particularly early and mid-career leaders
  • Represent organisations on senior committees and in external forums to influence health research priorities

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Medical specialist qualification in relevant areas of expertise
  • PhD or equivalent research doctorate in relevant health or medical disciplines
  • Registration (or eligibility) with professional registration bodies without conditions
  • Senior academic standing with outstanding records of research and teaching
  • Proven leadership in research-intensive academic or health settings
