Financial Accounting Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Financial Accountant to support our finance team on a full-time permanent capacity. The ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting, working collaboratively, and providing financial support to strict deadlines.

The role involves preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with AASB and IFRS standards, leading the external audit process, and overseeing weekly cash flow reporting.

About You:
  • 4+ years' experience in the management of financial systems, financial reporting & financial data analysis (preferred).
  • Degree qualified in accounting or related field.
  • Membership of the Chartered Accountants Australia and NZ or Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA).
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well autonomously and collaboratively under strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with AASB and IFRS standards.
  • Lead the external audit process, ensuring supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Oversee weekly cash flow reporting.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Assist with ongoing compliance of internal controls, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls and reporting, including superannuation; in accordance with relevant legislation and company policy.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely lodgement of BAS and FBT obligations.
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis to support Finance Team.
