Operations Supervisor Job Description

CEVA Logistics is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Minto. As a key member of our Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) facility, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager with the efficient day-to-day operations and administration of the branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with operational and administrative activities to ensure compliance with CEVA's contractual obligations and service standards.
  • Provide data to support the Operations Manager in performance reporting, focusing on actions to improve cost per vehicle, utilisation, and reducing empty runs.
  • Support, mentor, coach, and develop branch team members to maintain high levels of safety, accuracy, productivity, and performance.
  • Ensure the effective real-time use of systems to monitor vehicle movements and provide visibility to customers.
  • Oversee the timely completion of transit damage claims and non-conformance reporting, driving improvements and addressing root causes.
  • Liaise directly with customers or through direct reports to ensure customer service expectations are met.
Requirements:
  • Experience to supervisory level gained in a transport operations and/or fleet management related role.
  • Availability to take calls and visit site outside regular hours, including occasional weekends.
  • Experience managing transport providers/carriers and/or subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of state metropolitan, rural areas, and major road routes within the State.
  • Intermediate ability in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
