About Us

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team at a leading manufacturer of wetblue leather and pickled skins in NSW.

The successful candidates will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and sorting green, dried, salted, and wet blue hides and skins based on size, cleanliness, colour, thickness, and overall quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Grade and categorise hides and skins under direction and record data related to quantity and quality
  • Inspect wet blue leather hides or tanned skins for thickness, size, weight, and quality and sort into lots for further processing or dispatch
  • Load/unload, hook up, or feed hides and skins into machines and operate production equipment as directed
  • Check products and reject defective hides or skins
  • Pack skins and hides in the required manner as per production requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Record information such as quantity and quality of hides

Requirements:

  • Availability to work Monday to Friday with some optional overtime Saturdays
  • Physically capable of repetitive manual labour including sorting, lifting up to 20kg, trimming and packing of cattle hides, wetblue leather and small skins
  • Willing to undertake a Pre-employment functional assessment and Drug & Alcohol Testing prior to starting
  • Vaccinated for Q-Fever or willing to be

  • An annual salary range of $53,253.20 - $56,711.20 (including allowances and bonuses)
