Transportation Service Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Transportation Service Specialist to join our team. This full-time position reports into the Network Development Manager and supports the processing of all service disruptions across the Transperth bus services.

This involves:

  • Assisting with the identification and implementation of alternative bus routes for road closures.
  • Liaising with Traffic Management providers, Local Government Authorities and Transperth bus contractors to minimize disruption impacts.
  • Planning and coordinating resources, logistics, and administration required to support planned service disruptions.
  • Responding to customer queries and feedback in relation to bus service disruptions.
  • Monitoring and evaluating contractor performance to ensure contract standards are met.
  • Assisting with the review and development of Transperth bus timetables including research and analysis.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong administration skills with an interest or understanding in contract management and public transport issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering information in a customer-focused environment and developing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and evaluate information.
