Job Description

The Head of Primary is a pivotal leadership role in the College's executive structure, responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the College's Primary School.

Reporting to the Principal, this position oversees the academic, pastoral, and operational aspects of the Primary School, ensuring a seamless educational experience for students from Pre Kindergarten through to Year 6.

With a strong focus on excellence, innovation, and community engagement, the Head of Primary plays a vital role in shaping the educational landscape of the College.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of the Primary School.
  • Academic Excellence: Foster a culture of academic rigor and excellence, driving student achievement and growth.
  • Staff Development: Support and develop teaching and support staff to ensure high-quality education.
  • Community Engagement: Strengthen relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote collaboration and mutual understanding.

As the Head of Primary, you will be an inspirational leader, mentor, and advocate for the Primary School, embodying the values and mission of the College.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A living Christian faith, demonstrating a commitment to the College's values and mission.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a similar context, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong curriculum development and implementation skills, with a focus on contemporary pedagogy and wellbeing paradigms.
  • A sound understanding of the wider educational sector, including regulatory requirements, theoretical underpinnings, and application in practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
  • Current Working with Children Check and valid Australian work rights.
