The Chief Data Office seeks a skilled Data Engineer to operationalise the data platform for business areas. This role plays a key part in developing reusable data patterns in Microsoft Azure for reporting, analysis, and data science.

The successful candidate will work closely with ICT Engineers, data modellers, data analysts, and business areas to deliver new platforms and capability uplift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data models that cater for versatile reporting and analytics needs.
  • Embed continuous improvement in process and quality of data captures.
  • Ensure consistency in common data terms.
  • Enable data capability gaps to be identified and addressed across the organisation.
  • Develop data pipelines for data visualisation / analysis tools such as Microsoft Power BI.

Requirements

  • Mandatory experience (2 years +) in a data engineering role.
  • Experience working within an Azure cloud data environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
