About the Role

This position reports to the Procurement Manager and is responsible for providing guidance on procurement procedures, tender determination, and tendering procedures. The successful candidate will ensure that tenders are advertised and opened in accordance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a standardized approach to contractor performance reviews and maintain a database of contractor information.
  • Provide support and training to the organization on the electronic procurement system, Technology One.
  • Manage the procurement process, including supplier evaluation and selection, tendering, and contract preparation and management.

About You

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual with excellent analytical and organizational skills and a commitment to high levels of customer service. The successful candidate will have proven experience in all facets of the procurement function, including supplier evaluation and selection, tendering, and contract preparation and management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Local government experience.
  • Territory qualifications or equivalent professional experience in purchasing and supply.
