About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts and Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of procurement and contract experts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement process to ensure compliance with internal procurement standards.
  • Lead negotiations with tenderers and preferred suppliers to identify, manage, and mitigate commercial, contractual, and operational risk.
  • Establish and maintain relationships as a point of contact for contractual matters.
  • Provide contract-related issue resolutions.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation, maintenance, and approval of all tender documentation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to analyse requirements, develop work scopes, and specifications, and determine the required tender documents to ensure optimal commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Maintain and manage the cloud-based tendering software program and facilitate its use with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in business, commercial law, engineering, or construction management.
  • Demonstrated extensive leadership experience.
  • Experience in an industrial, power, or mining background.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and apply contracts.
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Robust skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
