About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle, Australia. As a key member of our structural team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions to meet the requirements of Australian Standards and best industry practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document structural engineering solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Mentor junior staff in structural engineering and review structural models, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and other related documents.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other teams and disciplines to deliver projects.
  • Carry out construction phase services, including site inspections and RFI's.
  • Contribute to business development and growth initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or relevant qualifications and industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, with a strong design approach and practical experience with structural design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain internal and client relationships.
  • Proven experience in time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
