Job Overview

As a Senior Sales Support Professional, you will play a key role in creating unique and complex offerings to meet the needs of our customers. This position focuses on solutions for Metso Outotec's Bulk Material Handling (BMH) Electrical and Instrumentation product group.

The BMH product group consists of a team of experts who provide a comprehensive range of engineering products and services with core competency in material handling and conveying systems. Projects range from engineered service work through to full system retrofit equipment and greenfield equipment supply projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review customer inquiries, identifying needs, requirements, comments, and exceptions.
  2. Visit customers to understand their business and corresponding product needs; understand their decision process and key drivers.
  3. Create proposals for complex upgrades, refurbishments, and retrofits to meet the Market Area (Sales) demands.
  4. Define application specific equipment specifications.
  5. Ensure proposal competitiveness by clearly communicating the Metso value add for our customers.
  6. Ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating and managing Metso's risk.
  7. Develop standard commercial offerings for upgrades, retrofits, and refurbishment and deploy these to the MA teams for opportunity generation; leverage the installed base to drive the business.
  8. Create effective RFQs and obtain proposals from third-party suppliers.
  9. Ensure the hand over as-sold packages to the project management team.
  10. Define supply needs to Procurement to support the opportunities.
  11. Coordinate with other business lines within Metso Outotec to deliver a value add and sustainable proposal.
  12. Provide direct sales support.
  13. Work to ensure all related company intellectual property is controlled and protected.
  14. Strive to analyze and improve ways of working.
  15. Guide and influence others within area of expertise.
