The Yorke and Northern Local Health Network is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Assistant in Nursing/Midwifery Candidate Pool. As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to providing high-quality patient care across various facilities within the network.
Key Responsibilities- Provide essential support to Enrolled and Registered Nurses in administering general care to residents/patients.
- Assist with personal care for patients and handle basic technical duties such as preparing for nursing procedures, sanitizing equipment, and managing local inventory levels.
- Maintain a safe environment, both physically and culturally, for patients and staff.
- Adhere to established guidelines, protocols, and standards set forth by the organization.
- Enrolled as a student in an undergraduate program in nursing or midwifery and have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; OR
- Employed on the basis that the person is, or will be, undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses; OR
- Hold a Certificate III or IV in one of the following health-related disciplines: Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, Individual Support Work, or such other nationally recognized courses approved within the healthcare setting by full agreement of DHA and the ANMF.
