Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Highway Infrastructure Engineer to join our Perth-based team. The successful candidate will have 5-12 years of experience in designing and delivering road and highway projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and design management skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure designs meet Main Roads WA standards and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Engineering Solutions: Develop and review road and highway designs using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or 12D.
  • Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA standards and guidelines in all aspects of design and project execution.
  • Project Delivery: Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions for major highway projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Technical Analysis: Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for roadworks, intersections, and other civil infrastructure elements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with Main Roads WA, local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and approvals are obtained.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Conduct reviews of designs and documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Uphold strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations during project delivery.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: Incorporate sustainable engineering practices into designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.
