Job Description:

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join their team. As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a key role in defining and implementing a data journey aligned with the Financial Crimes Technology Team strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop data processes, including design and architecture, data modeling, metadata repository, and change management in complex projects.
  • Oversee data project activities, ensuring compliance with existing strategies, standards, and processes.
  • Provide expertise in data activities, systems, and applications, including extract-transform-load (ETL), reporting, DBMS, and SQL utilization.

Requirements:

  • Implement a cloud data strategy with a focus on best practices and foundations.
  • Experience in Delta Lakes, metadata management, data discovery, streaming, and batch data processing.
  • Building and supporting low-latency data pipelines.
  • Working with semi-structured and structured data.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in AWS services.
