Job Overview

We are seeking an HSE Advisor to join our team in Darwin on a major oil and gas project.

This is a 7-month opportunity to contribute to ensuring a safe working environment on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, direction, and support to the project team on health, safety, and environmental matters.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Conducting routine safety inspections and monitoring of work areas
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with the site team
  • Surveying, evaluating, investigating, and gathering information to identify and address safety, health, and environmental inadequacies
  • Undertaking detailed incident investigations as per project requirements
  • Providing guidance on specialist areas such as safety regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases

About Our Requirements

  • Hold either a Certificate IV or Diploma Qualifications in OH&S, HSEQ, Risk Management, or related area
  • Sound knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards, and best practices relevant to the group
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a contracting environment, preferably on an oil and gas site (coatings and insulation project exposure highly advantageous)
  • Experience working within a multi-cultural workforce is desirable
