Responsibilities:- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Lead the team in the Head Chef's absence, taking charge of service and kitchen operations.
- Collaborate on menu development, introducing new ideas and seasonal dishes.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or senior cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, traditional techniques, and modern plating.
- Passionate about food, with a keen eye for detail and quality control.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle busy services with efficiency.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and support the team.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred but not essential).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
