Job Opportunity: Disability Support Specialist

This is a unique chance to contribute to the lives of individuals with daily living challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver supportive therapy services focused on enhancing clients' independence and daily living skills.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments at workplaces and homes, recommending tailored modifications and interventions.
  3. Develop personalized therapy plans to help clients achieve their goals.
  4. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation in line with relevant industry standards.
  5. Collaborate closely with clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  6. Travel to client locations to conduct assessments and provide support as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  2. Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  3. Experience working with NDIS participants, WorkCover, and/or Medicare clients (desired but not essential).
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
  6. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
  7. Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain).
