The Role

">

We are seeking a permanent part-time Transportation Maintenance Assistant to join our Accommodation Service Team at Moran Engadine home with maintenance support as required. This role ensures safe transport of residents on outings and visits, maintenance of residences and garden upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

">

This role involves transporting residents and others to various locations and appointments. The successful candidate must communicate effectively build positive relationships with residents volunteers and staff.

">

- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before departure recording in log book.
- Complete risk assessments for each bus route schedule including parking.
- Transport residents passengers two days per week
- Obey all traffic laws to ensure passengers arrive safely
- Maintain a clean mechanically sound vehicle at all times
- Meet safety quality hygiene standards
- Assist passengers getting on off the bus as needed

Skills/Requirements:

">

- Current NSW Driving Licence Class LR (Light Rigid)
- Some experience in maintenance highly regarded
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks work semi-autonomously
- Experience understanding Legislative requirements Essential Services WHS requirements maintenance repairs
- A positive proactive approach well presented at all times
- Basic Computer skills
- Knowledge aged care industry favourably considered
- Current Police Check valid working rights
- Current Influenza vaccination COVID-19 vaccination including booster
