Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Portfolio Director to join our team at Gough Recruitment AU.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional to lead our property management department and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, monitoring key metrics, and implementing strategies to improve performance.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in property management, with a focus on business development and portfolio growth. They will also possess a strong understanding of property management principles, landlord-tenant laws, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the property management department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
  • Monitor key metrics such as vacancy rates, arrears, and maintenance issues, and implement strategies to improve performance.
  • Ensure all properties are compliant with NSW regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead regular team meetings to set goals, address challenges, and share updates on portfolio performance.
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, and team growth.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members, helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Manage and improve key performance indicators and team outcomes.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and adopt best practices to improve team efficiency and service quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, investors, and other key stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee trust accounting, invoicing, and other financial tasks related to the portfolio.
  • Attend tribunals and represent the agency in property-related disputes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in property management, with a focus on business development and portfolio growth.
  • A current NSW real estate licence.
  • Strong understanding of property management principles, landlord-tenant laws, and industry regulations.
  • Trust accounting experience and financial management skills.
  • Outstanding people skills with a natural ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A proactive leader with the ability to develop and implement systems and processes for team success.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and a high standard of customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong digital literacy and experience with property management software platforms.
