Accounting Specialist - We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team on a fixed term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, as well as assisting with the audit process.

  • Preparation of Financial Statements: The accounting specialist will be responsible for preparing month end, quarter end, and yearly financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Audit Assistance: The successful candidate will assist with the audit process for both group and local audits.
  • Reconciliation and Forecasting: The accounting specialist will reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts, and prepare rolling cashflow forecasts.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: The successful candidate will ensure that the accounts payable function operates effectively and efficiently, and that the accounts receivable function operates in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have CPA/CA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven accounting experience (preferably 5+ years), ideally with an audit background.
  • Good knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
