Clinical Education Specialist

Clinical nurse educators play a vital role in the development of nursing staff, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and enhancing patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver education programs at the ward/unit level to improve clinical skills and knowledge.
- Mentor and coach less experienced staff to enhance their clinical practice and achieve quality care outcomes.
- Evaluate education programs to ensure they meet individual learning needs and current best practice models.
- Current registration with relevant authorities as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant post-registration qualifications in clinical or education fields, or a Certificate in Workplace Training and Assessment.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant clinical/specialty fields with knowledge of competency requirements for quality care.
- Experience as a preceptor/mentor/coach with ability to use contemporary education methods.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining competence as a trainer and assessor.
- This is a permanent part-time position located in Goulburn within Southern NSW Local Health District.
- Promote a culture of lifelong learning and enhance patient care.
- Deliver high-quality education programs that meet individual learning needs.
