Heavy Lifting Operations Manager
\We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating mobile crane equipment at construction sites.
\Key Responsibilities:
\- \
- Manage inbound freight, logistics, laydown, material transport\
- Operate Franners and lifting 60 to 80 tonne\
- Work in collaboration with construction teams, engineers, and supervisors to move and position heavy materials, equipment, and structures\
- Safely and efficiently operate mobile crane equipment\
- Maintain mobile plant safe working conditions\
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections\
- Reporting of faults and anomalies with mobile machinery and equipment\
- Ensure a safe and efficient operation of machinery at all times\
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team\
- Adhere to established OH&S policy and procedures\
- Other duties as required by management\
- Maintain records and reports as required\
- Perform other tasks as directed by management\
- Assist in training and development of junior staff members\
- Participate in regular performance reviews and goal setting\
- Promote a positive and professional work environment\
- Achieve targets and objectives set by management\
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives\
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times\
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity\
- Monitor and control costs\
- Improve operational processes and procedures\
- Reduce waste and increase recycling\
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives\
- Maintain accurate records and reports\
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations\
- Support the development of new business opportunities\
- Build relationships with customers and stakeholders\
- Identify and mitigate risks\
- Provide input into budgeting and forecasting processes\
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors\
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures\
- Plan and coordinate projects and events\
- Supervise and train staff\
- Perform other tasks as directed by management\
- Cooperate with others to achieve team goals and objectives\
- Network and build relationships within industry\
- Demonstrate commitment to innovation and excellence\
- Protect and respect confidential information\\
Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years operator experience in a similar role\
- Qualifications include current Australian Driver's License, C6 - Operation of a slewing mobile crane with a capacity of up to 60T, C1 - Operation of a slewing mobile crane with a capacity of up to 100T, Franner, Dogman/Rigger tickets, Construction White/Blue Card, EWP, Working at Heights tickets, Bridge Crane, Slinging/Rigging, Pick and Carry Cranes, Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen, Full Working Rights in Australia\
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills\
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines\
- Strong organizational and time management skills\
- Capacity to lift and move heavy loads\
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances\
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime\\
