Dog Training Role

  • Instruct dogs in fundamental commands using tailored training methods that suit their individual personalities and characteristics.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in training areas to ensure animal wellbeing and staff safety.
  • Generate shareable media content for pet owners through videos and photos.
  • Provide food and water for pets in care.
  • Conduct health checks and general animal husbandry.
  • Perform frequent cleaning and upkeep of the facility to maintain high hygiene and safety standards.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF) certificate or equivalent qualification, or currently undertaking the course.
  • Deep understanding of dog behavior, including breed-specific traits, body language, communication, and socialization.
  • Familiarity with various training techniques and methods, including balanced reinforcement.
  • Patient and effective communication skills when conveying instructions to dogs and their owners.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose problems, develop solutions, and modify training techniques accordingly.
  • Dedication to animal wellbeing and welfare.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and trends.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Confident handling skills when working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
