Freight Forwarding Sales Director

The Recruitment Org is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join a fast-growing freight forwarding company based in South East Queensland. As a Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, building and nurturing client relationships, and expanding the company's market presence across Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company objectives, targeting key sectors within Australia's logistics and transportation industries.
- Client Acquisition: Identify, engage, and secure new clients by leveraging market research, networking, and industry contacts. Develop proposals and presentations to win new business.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients across Australia, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead and manage the sales team remotely, setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback and training.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with Operations: Coordinate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery from booking to final delivery, ensuring customer needs are met.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead client negotiations, ensuring that contract terms are profitable and aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Reporting & Performance: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and prepare reports for senior management to ensure targets are achieved and exceeded.
- Experience: 1-3 years in a sales or business development role, specifically within the freight forwarding or logistics sectors.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the freight forwarding and logistics industry, including shipping, customs, and supply chain management.
- Sales Skills: Proven success in achieving sales targets and developing strong customer relationships.
- Leadership Abilities: Experience in managing or mentoring sales teams, with a remote team management background being an advantage.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build lasting relationships.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze market data and trends, using insights to refine strategies and drive business growth.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales management tools, and data analysis software.
