**Role Overview**

  • Counsel offenders about their offending behaviours and the consequences of such behaviour.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Take personal responsibility for following through on any work-related incident or emerging risk without instruction.
  • Have experience and understanding of welfare provision in a human services or related field.
  • Have experience in or exposure to a criminal justice environment or similar human services area.
  • Engage with community groups and/or external service providers.

  • Use administrative and technical skills to achieve workplace goals.
  • Interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures effectively.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with colleagues, offenders, management, and stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Apply risk assessment instruments and processes within criminal justice settings.
  • Write high-quality professional reports and case notes.
  • Effectively communicate with a diverse client group and stakeholders.
