AWS Tech Lead Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced AWS expert to lead our infrastructure management and innovation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Infrastructure Management & Automation: Utilize IaC tools (e.g., Terraform) to manage and optimize AWS infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Kafka Management: Configure authentication/authorisation for Kafka objects, monitor applications, and ensure reliable performance using CloudWatch or Prometheus.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement and maintain robust security policies, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Hybrid Connectivity: Establish secure and seamless connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud applications, leveraging VPNs or Direct Connect.
  • Monitoring & Integration: Monitor platforms and applications, ensuring interoperability between AWS-hosted and other cloud services.

Essential Criteria:

  • AWS Infrastructure knowledge on VPCs, Networks & Subnets, Security Groups, and AWS integration services.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Route 53, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, MSK, Kafka clients, VPC, and connecting applications.
  • Experience with Kafka design and development.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix systems administration or Windows administration.
  • Experience in monitoring using AWS Cloud Watch and other MSK's native options to track performance, auditing, and trouble shooting.
  • Experience with automation deployments (Connectors, Kafka clients, etc).

This role offers a salary range of $120-$150 per hour, inclusive of superannuation, and is available for a 6-month contract with potential for a 1 x 6-month extension. The successful candidate will be required to work 2-3 days per week onsite at a designated office within Australia. Please note that AGSVA Baseline Clearance is required for this position.
