About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Canberra, Australia. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading work across the design, delivery, and tender phases for multi-year/packaged projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project lead work across the design, delivery, and tender phases for multi-year/packaged projects;
- Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial, and regulatory standards;
- Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients;
- Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
- Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
- Mentor, train, and develop the careers of junior engineers;
- Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Typically 6+ years' experience on medium/large Australian building structures engineering projects;
- Capacity to manage small-to-medium scale projects autonomously and deliver large-scale projects as part of a team;
- Excellent steel and post-tensioned (PT) design and inspections skills;
- Moderate-to-high level of proficiency with software packages such as RAM and RAPT;
- Track record of collaborating effectively with other engineering disciplines on projects;
- Well-versed in liaising effectively with external stakeholders;
- Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks, and Revit Structure would be beneficial.
