Position Overview: Electrical Engineering Manager
In the role of Electrical Engineering Manager within Above Water Systems, you will guide a talented team of Electrical Engineers and Technicians/Draftspersons, offering both resource and technical leadership for Electrical Engineering initiatives and AWS programs. Working closely with the Head of Discipline - Electrical Engineering, your contributions will be essential in achieving excellence in engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate engineering personnel, ensuring alignment with business objectives and professional growth pathways.
- Provide discipline leadership within AWS, offering direction and support for bids, projects, operational capabilities, and engineering strategies.
- Hold Level 2 Engineering Authority in Electrical Engineering, conducting engineering reviews and approvals.
- Manage multiple requirements concurrently across various ongoing projects and bid activities.
- Engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders, estimating project costs, timelines, and resources during competitive tendering processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a Master's degree. Chartered Professional Engineer (EA) status is preferred.
- Extensive experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly with Naval or Maritime Platforms.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and strategic foresight.
- Capacity to empower and unify teams around clear objectives, serving as a coach and servant leader.
