Junior Laboratory Scientist

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for the receipting and processing of specimens, including operation and maintenance of analysers. You will also assist Scientists in the lab as required.
Key Responsibilities- Routine receipting and processing of specimens;
- Pre and post analytical specimen handling;
- Identification and prioritisation of urgent specimens;
- Filing and storage of specimens and data entry;
- Assisting Scientists in the Lab as required;
- Continuous learning of processing requirements of different types of samples for different tests;
To be considered for this position, you will need to have:
- Specimen processing and data entry experience;
- Excellent customer service and communication skills;
- The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and work as a team;
- Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately;
- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures;
