Job Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical engineering background and commissioning experience in renewable energy assets.

This is an opportunity to participate in major renewable energy projects in Australia, involving the energization of large-scale solar, wind, and battery systems, and ensuring successful grid connection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning HV/LV electrical systems, protection schemes, and controls for renewable generation and storage projects
  • Conducting system testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks
  • Supporting AEMO compliance processes, including R1 model reviews and participation in R2 on-site validation testing
  • Executing commissioning plans, ITPs, and FAT/SAT procedures to ensure smooth energisation
  • Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning
Requirements:
  • Educated in Electrical Engineering or equivalent trade background
  • Proven commissioning experience in HV substations, renewable energy assets, or grid-connected plant
  • Familiarity with AEMO R1/R2 testing processes (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of protection, SCADA, and control systems
