Job Description: Events ManagerThis role reports to the Brand and Marketing Manager and involves formal management responsibilities for an Events Coordinator. You'll work closely with team members within the Marketing department.
The position is permanent, full-time, and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop an annual event calendar, including goals, timelines, and strategies, ensuring all events align with our vision and values.
- Coordinate and execute events, meeting objectives and target attendance levels.
- Collaborate with external event companies on major events and oversee relationships with these organizations.
- Support the Brand and Marketing Manager in identifying opportunities for financial or in-kind support from sponsors or corporate partners.
- Coordinate ambassador dogs and puppies for events, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Manage logistical support, including internal resources and external suppliers, within budgets and event requirements.
- Contribute to event template development and prepare/deliver event-related information, such as project plans, timelines, invitation lists, run sheets, briefing notes, collateral, and risk assessments.
- Prepare event budgets and ensure expenses remain within approved limits.
- Book equipment and maintain its good working order.
- Analyze and report on post-event surveys.
- Attend events and support their successful delivery to stakeholders, including Bump In and Bump Out.
- Support the Event Volunteer program and ensure volunteers are trained, supported, and equipped to execute events to brief.
- Participate in departmental objective development and implementation, completing tasks as requested to achieve objectives.
- Direct and supervise an Events Coordinator and any volunteers, ensuring adherence to safe work practices.
- Provide accurate written information, including accessible, clear, and informative reports and communications.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, sharing information to improve the work environment and outcomes.
- Demonstrate initiative, contributing to ideas for improving ways of working and generating innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with new developments within your area of responsibility.

Estimated Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
