Job Opportunity: Head of Department

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to lead our technology team as Head of Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to drive innovation and enhance the educational experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of technology professionals, managing budgets, and staying current with emerging technology trends. They will develop and maintain a technology strategy that aligns with the school's educational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with educators and stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
  • Appropriate qualification and registrations as a teacher.
  • Proven experience in educational leadership roles, with a track record of excellent teaching.
  • Strong understanding of educational research around the science of learning and explicit instruction.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills in an educational context.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent personal communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviors when engaging with children, including children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
