We are seeking a skilled CNC laser programmer to contribute their expertise in profile cutting and sheet metal manufacturing.
This role is ideal for junior CNC programmers looking to advance their careers or experienced laser operators seeking new challenges with clear paths for professional development and career progression.
The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their knowledge and experience of the most efficient nesting of parts upon raw materials, combined with our best-in-class software package TruTops Boost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nesting and Optimization
- Modify parts and make adjustments using CAD functions available in our CAM.
- Achieve superior nesting results by evaluating all parts scheduled for production to maximize material yield.
- Program, review, and remotely export laser cutting programs to TRUMPF CO2 and Fiber lasers.
- Configure and program industrial automation systems, including Liftmaster loaders.
- Gain exposure to centralised programming of high-rate TRUMPF CNC bending and folding operations.
- Contribute to the selection and procurement of raw materials from trusted suppliers.
- Assist with the management, recovery, and utilisation of raw material offcuts and remnants.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold high quality standards applied to all processes and procedures.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, or optimisation of QA processes.
- Report and contribute to the investigation of any quality issues.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement efforts to enhance work methods and outputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sheet metal manufacturing environments, particularly knowledge of different material types and their qualities.
- Experience operating manufacturing related software, including ERP, procurement, and job management systems.
- Experience in CAD and CAM, particularly TRUMPF TruTops Boost.
- Experience as a profile cutter, plasma or water cutting operator.
- Experience as a press brake operator.
