CNC Laser Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled CNC laser programmer to join our team in Meadowbrook, QLD.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Interpreting and optimizing customer CAD drawings using best practice nesting and tagging methodologies across various equipment.
  2. Modifying parts and making adjustments where necessary using the CAD functions available in our CAM system.
  3. Achieving superior nesting results by evaluating all parts scheduled for production to maximize material yield.
  4. Programming, reviewing, and exporting laser cutting programs to our TRUMPF CO2 and Fiber lasers.
  5. Expanding skills by configuring and programming industrial automation systems.
  6. Gaining exposure to centralised programming of high-rate TRUMPF CNC bending and folding operations from the CAM.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in sheet metal manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of different material types and their qualities.
  • Understanding of sheet metal production and processing technologies and procedures.
  • Experience operating manufacturing related software, including ERP, procurement, and job management systems.
