Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled contractor to work with our client in installing various products, including robe doors, mirrors, built-in wardrobes, shower screens, shelves, and splashbacks. The successful candidate will have excellent carpentry and/or cabinet making skills or experience as a handyman/handywoman.

The role involves working in various locations across the Hunter, Newcastle, Maitland, Harrington, and Central Coast areas, with occasional overnight stays required. However, you can rest assured that these trips will be well-compensated with a living away from home allowance.

One of the best aspects of this job is that you don't need to worry about quoting, measuring, invoicing, or collecting outstanding payments – all of these tasks are handled by us, allowing you to focus solely on installations and completing jobs to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install a range of products, including robe doors, mirrors, built-in wardrobes, shower screens, shelves, and splashbacks.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet productivity targets.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail at all times.
  • Meet the necessary onboarding requirements, including holding an ABN, relevant insurances, a Construction Induction White Card, valid driver's license, and more.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN) and preferably a Pty Ltd Company Registration.
  • Have relevant insurances, such as Personal Accident Insurance, Workers Compensation, Public Liability Insurance, and Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance.
  • Possess a Construction Induction White Card and a valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Meet the necessary work rights in Australia and possess a clean Valid Police Check (Code 30).
  • Own a late model long wheel-based van or purpose-built trailer capable of carrying materials up to 3.6m in length while remaining enclosed.
  • Be equipped with the necessary tools required for this role.
