Employment Relations Consultant Opportunity

This is a key role that will provide high-level support and advice to management and staff relating to employment relations matters.

The successful candidate will have expertise in employment relations, thrive in a purpose-led and collaborative environment, and possess highly developed interpersonal, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.

About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong working relationships with credibility and open communication to enable accurate and proactive advice to leaders and stakeholders;
  • Develop, update, and manage employment relations frameworks, policies, and enterprise bargaining activities to support the strategic direction and fulfill legislative, industrial, and employer responsibilities;
  • Manage complex employment relations matters and partner with respective teams on case management, investigations, disciplinary action, and representing the organization in employment tribunals;
  • Develop and deliver employment relations presentations and information sessions to educate and inform leaders on best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in employment relations and experience in providing strategic and tactical advice on labor regulations;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively liaise, consult, and influence a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Extensive experience in managing union relationships, disputes, and enterprise bargaining activities, as well as representing employers within various employment tribunals;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
