We have a rewarding position available for a Counsellor to provide counselling and therapeutic services at our Women's Wellness Centre.

This role involves assessing, evaluating, and intervening with clients, as well as liaising with stakeholders to ensure successful client plans, referrals, and goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of domestic violence and complex trauma, including gendered understandings of these in relation to women's overall health and wellbeing.

  • A 3- or 4-year tertiary qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, or a related discipline is required.
  • Knowledge of individual and group counselling interventions is essential.
  • Experience working with domestic violence and complex trauma is also required.
  • Current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement is necessary.
  • A current Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver's License is required.
  • A positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and Police Check are mandatory.
