Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Description:

This is a challenging role that requires expertise in structural engineering. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural systems for various projects.

Responsibilities include all aspects of design in structural engineering, involved in projects from technical design and documentation through to on-site completion. Preparation of design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversight of design development and documentation are also key responsibilities.

Undertake site inspections, particularly in operating facilities. Practice safety in project design and delivery, supported by quality checking and verification activities. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting environment with 5–10 years' experience.
  • Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients and other engineers.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy, client-focused team.
  • Strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Experience applying knowledge to a diverse range of structural engineering projects, with a focus on built form.
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent is essential. CPEng or chartered status preferred but not essential.
