About this role
We are seeking a Head of Science and Engineering Partnerships to join Industry Engagement, International and Business Development, Chancellery Division.
This high-performing team focuses on building collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across the university, converting relationships into significant research funding and investment leading to real-world impact.
The successful candidate will lead and supervise a team of research commercialisation professionals to grow QUT's research capacity in science and engineering, facilitate knowledge transfer to industry, and commercialise science and engineering technologies.
Salary
The estimated salary for this role is AUD 140,000 - 180,000 per annum, plus up to 17% superannuation and leave loading.
Job Description
The Head of Science and Engineering Partnerships will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of research commercialisation professionals to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across the university.
- Converting relationships into significant research funding and investment leading to real-world impact.
- Growing QUT's research capacity in science and engineering, facilitating knowledge transfer to industry, and commercialising science and engineering technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
- A proven track record in establishing and maintaining long-term industry relationships and commercialisation activities across a related range of disciplines and activities.
- Demonstrated management of a high-performing industry engagement team that has established partnerships leading to significant funding and knowledge transfer of university intellectual property.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
