AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Deal Execution Manager to lead commercial negotiations and deal execution for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across Victoria and NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the suite of contracts during the development phase to financial close, providing input into project development and identifying key contractual risks.
  • Lead negotiations with customers, BESS OEM providers, contractors, and other suppliers to optimize project-wide value and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and embed approaches to mitigate residual commercial risks and seek input from relevant stakeholders to manage overall commercial risk to the portfolio.
  • Prepare investment business cases for executive and board review.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in legal, finance, commerce, or other relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in commercial negotiations, particularly in large infrastructure, renewable energy, or energy storage programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify risks and issues proactively.
