About the BusinessThe Department for Child Protection plays a critical role in protecting children, young people, and their families in South Australia. Our department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to ensure their safety, strength, and connection to their families and communities.
Essential QualificationsA degree-level qualification in Social Work, which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, is essential for this role. However, we encourage applications from individuals with the appropriate background and skills, who may not have the essential qualification.
Special ConditionsCandidates must demonstrate increased professional expertise, competence, and experience to perform any standard professional task within the discipline. They must also have attained greater specialized knowledge within the discipline, enabling them to provide professional services to client groups in circumstances requiring increasingly complex practice skills.
