Job Description:

The Project Coordinator – Product Lifecycle Management plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management of product projects during the sustaining phase.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage product lifecycle projects, ensuring alignment with quality systems, customer requirements, timelines, and commercial targets.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership across departments to define strategic objectives and monitor outcomes.
  • Establish clear project goals and design concepts as guiding principles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster effective communication and alignment across functional areas to enable sound business decision-making.
  • Form and lead cross-functional teams by strategically allocating resources, setting milestones, and aligning team members' skills with project needs.
  • Integrate project execution into Portfolio Management and Governance systems.
  • Prioritize project objectives among key stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans in line with ROI targets; provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Deliver timely assessments on project viability and highlight critical path dependencies and risks.
  • Lead matrix-managed teams by clearly articulating goals, managing performance, and promoting accountability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Training in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, DFSS).
  • Ability to manage scheduling, cost, and performance of design projects.
  • Effective change management skills to drive continuous improvement.
  • Negotiation skills to manage competing priorities and stakeholder interests.
Preferred Qualifications:

Additional Requirements:

  • Significant project management experience in regulated industries.
  • Medical device industry experience.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or an MBA.
  • Broad commercial experience across multiple business functions.
