This role will see you support our operations team in developing, planning and implementing quality programs to ensure consistent delivery of quality products.

You will be responsible for ensuring operations conform to food safety regulations and quality systems requirements through partnering with the production team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Documenting, controlling and reporting on non-conformance and corrective action requirements within the parameters of the quality management system.
  • Coordinating quality systems including internal audit, HACCP, consumer complaints, and document control.
  • Ensuring all staff are trained in, aware of and comply with the necessary requirements of all quality management systems.
  • Leading and coordinating relevant document control & auditing systems & activities in accordance with QA standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to function autonomously, be proactive and adapt to constantly changing business demands.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, building rapport with a wide range of stakeholders for productive business outcomes.
  • The ability to recognise a critical matter and escalate to appropriate stakeholders where required.
  • Knowledge of legislative and operational requirements of federal, state and local government acts and requirements regarding food safety.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A relevant qualification in quality and food industry standards.
  • Red meat industry experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience within a food industry environment.
  • Internal auditor qualifications.
  • Qualifications in HACCP and quality management.
  • Experience in AusMeat & Halal certification is highly regarded.
  • Leadership in quality systems management.
