Gameplay Programmer

We are seeking a talented Gameplay Programmer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing core gameplay systems and control interfaces using C++ and game script.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of software development, including low-level programming and game engine architecture. They will work closely with animators, designers, and artists to create engaging and interactive gameplay experiences.

This is a full-time position based in our state-of-the-art game development studio in Sydney, Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for gameplay and system design, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Design and implement core gameplay systems and control interfaces.
  • Work with the design and content teams to architect and engineer gameplay features and systems.
  • Liaise with multiple departments and studios to identify potential improvements and modify/extend existing gameplay systems.
  • Deliver high-quality code that is well-structured and highly optimized.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals.

This role requires a strong understanding of top-down design, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and game design principles. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in large codebases with proprietary engines and knowledge of game design/scripting in a professional environment.
