As a Financial Accountant in our village portfolio team, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, partnering closely with Village Managers and Residents' Committees to ensure smooth, transparent, and accurate financial processes.
- Manage financial reporting for our retirement village portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and state legislation.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, supported by clear and meaningful commentary.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense accruals, including staff cost allocations across villages.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and follow up on outstanding variances in a timely manner.
- Partner with Village Managers to support day-to-day financial decision-making and provide clear financial insights.
- Attend quarterly meetings to support financial transparency and communication.
- Lead the preparation of annual resident budgets using a bottom-up approach.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements, responding to requests and resolving queries as needed.
- Visit villages regularly to support teams onsite and build strong working relationships.
