Landscaper & Gardener Job Description

Position: Landscape Gardener

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,990 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Tarneit VIC 3029

Job2Go Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced full-time Landscape Gardener to join their team in Tarneit, Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain seedbeds and growing sites
  • Propagate and plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs
  • Prepare lawn areas by spreading topsoil and planting grass, and by laying instant turf
  • Maintain planted and grassed areas by weeding, trimming, fertilising, watering, and mowing
  • Prune trees and hedges, and install plant support and protection devices
  • Prepare plans and drawings, select materials and plants, and schedule landscape construction
  • Construct gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture
  • Examine trees to assess their condition and determine treatment
  • Spray and dust plants and trees to control insects and disease, and fell diseased trees
  • Lop limbs off trees and shape branches using chain and handsaws

Requirements:

  • Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Horticulture
  • At least three (3) years of prior relevant experience as a Landscape Gardener
