Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Landscaper & Gardener to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the outdoor spaces of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain seedbeds and growing sites to ensure optimal growth and development of plants and trees.
  • Propagate and plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs to create visually appealing and sustainable outdoor spaces.
  • Maintain lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, and laying instant turf to ensure a lush and healthy appearance.
  • Weed, trim, fertilize, water, and mow planted and grassed areas to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Prune trees and hedges to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Install plant support and protection devices to ensure the safety and well-being of plants and trees.
  • Prepare plans and drawings to design and implement landscape construction projects.
  • Select materials and plants to ensure the highest quality and sustainability of outdoor spaces.
  • Schedule landscape construction to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Construct gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture to create functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
  • Examine trees to assess their condition and determine the best course of treatment.
  • Spray and dust plants and trees to control insects and disease and promote healthy growth.
  • Fell diseased trees to prevent the spread of disease and maintain the health of surrounding plants and trees.
  • Lop limbs off trees and shape branches using chain and handsaws to maintain the health and appearance of trees.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture including at least two years of on-the-job training.
  • At least three (3) years of prior relevant experience as a Landscaper & Gardener.
