Job Summary

We're seeking a Junior Frontend Software Developer to join our team of passionate and high-achieving engineers. As a member of our Apps and Integrations team, you'll work closely with backend developers and other stakeholders to design and develop web applications using JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to inform software development
  • Design and develop web applications using JavaScript, following best practices and industry standards
  • Write unit tests and perform manual testing to ensure software quality
  • Support software developed by the team, including bug resolution and explanation of functionality
  • Collaborate with team members and other LEAP personnel to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Approximately one year's experience in a commercial Frontend development position
  • Experience in the development of solutions using JavaScript
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and database design principles
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
  • Self-motivation and a desire to take ownership of work
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Svelte is advantageous but not required
  • Experience with AWS is desirable
  • A great attitude, with a passion for delivering excellent service and a readiness to pick up a task, no matter how big or small
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude – things might not always go as expected but we maintain optimism and win, nonetheless
