Ecology Leadership Role

As a Senior Ecologist, you will lead our ecology team, ensuring the technical accuracy of their work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and coaching the Botany and Zoology teams on a day-to-day basis.
  • Scheduling and managing workload for the ecology team to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Leading key proposals and assisting with resource allocation to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Organizing field surveys, allocating field team members, and planning requirements to meet project needs.
  • Undertaking and leading field surveys as required.
  • Motivating the team to actively participate in the entire opportunity/proposal/delivery cycle.
  • Overseeing and maintaining herbarium specimens and lodgments to the Western Australian Herbarium.
  • Delivering services on time, meeting scope, quality, and performance requirements.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Ecology.
  • 10+ years' relevant experience in consulting, preferably in Western Australia.
  • Current C-class driver's license (manual preferred).
  • Previous experience managing teams (typically 6-10 team members) or leading field survey teams.
  • Ability to coach, support, and direct team members to achieve effective client outcomes.
  • Proven experience in current environmental issues and legislation.
  • Proven experience in proposal development and project management.
