Legal Advisor is a critical role in our organization that requires a seasoned professional to provide expert guidance on all aspects of legal affairs.

Job Overview

The Legal Advisor will be responsible for advising on distribution, partnership, and promotional deals across various platforms, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal advice to support business units in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Supervise the drafting and negotiation of key content licence agreements with broadcasters, digital service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage direct reports and act as a guide for other lawyers, providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing performance review and development.
  • Drive the formulation, drafting, and implementation of organizational policies, best practice guidelines, and training programs.
Requirements
  • A qualified lawyer with 15+ years of experience in top-tier firm private practice and in-house legal departments, focused on IP, commercial, and media law.
  • Admitted to practice law in any State or Territory of Australia and holding a current Australian State or Territory practicing certificate.
  • Proven experience in advising and/or working in the Australian or comparable international media and entertainment industry.
